We will be covering the polls on election day, Tuesday April 22, 2008 primarily to promote the election of our delegates.  If multiple people are available for a given poll, one could hand out delegate cards while the other could hand out Ron Paul Slim Jims but we must insist that you not try to do both as a formal identification of delegate efforts with Ron Paul would likely work to our disadvantage.  The campaign has made it clear that they are unconcerned with Presidential vote totals but very concerned with getting our delegates on the ballot.  Also, persons handing out delegate cards must not wear any Ron Paul promotional materials, buttons, shirts, etc.  You should make arrangements to take a yard sign to the polls when you start and place it in a visible spot.  Other yard signs will likely already be there.  Further details about election day are covered in separate communications to you but if you have any other questions contact Mike Nixson at MikeNixson@cpalpac.com or your Regional Coordinator.

You can review the available precincts here and sign up for coverage here.  Please note that we are targeting the largest 100 precincts so please do not sign up for a precinct with a small voter population unless asked to do so.  The precincts are listed in descending order with the largest ones at the top.  If we cover the top 64 precincts and wards (64 is the number of precinct leaders we presently have) we will cover about 68% of all of the people who vote.  If we are able to cover the top 100 precincts we would be able to potential reach 87% of everyone who will vote.  If you have friends who are able to help on election day, please direct them to this page and ask them to sign up.

Delegate cards will be made available to you in sufficient quantities prior to election day.  The state organization is creating these for all 19 Congressional Districts including ours and they are in the process of raising money to do this.  If you can help financially, please use the donate button at the left and make sure you specify the Delegate Slate Card under the earmark selection.
